Dreamy Country Estate Wedding | Melanie + Matt

The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home Wedding dreamy country estate wedding Lenox, Massachusetts wedding destination wedding

Country Estate Wedding at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home

This dreamy country estate wedding at The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home in Lenox, Massachusetts was an actual fairytale. This estate wedding venue is probably one of the most beautiful venues I’ve been to, and that’s saying a lot considering how many wedding venues I’ve been to in my day! The mansion on the property is super luxurious and elegant, and the perfect setting for Melanie and Matt’s getting ready moments. After getting ready, we headed out to explore the venue’s gardens. Gorgeous architecture, lush and vibrant greenery, wildflowers, tall trees that the sunlight filtered through so perfectly… honestly couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop for the pair’s bride and groom portraits. If you’re going to check out any of the photos from this day, let it be those ones!

After bridal portraits, we then headed over to the outdoor garden wedding ceremony. The venue has this beautiful fountain set right in the middle of the ceremony space, and endless greenery in the background. Melanie and Matt’s intimate wedding ceremony was so perfect and right out of a storybook. After the ceremony, we quickly snuck away again for a few more golden hour portraits, because how could we not?

The most important thing to KC + Paul was to have their wedding in their backyard in Malibu. There was never a question of “where to get married” because they knew immediately this was going to become their venue. Photographing a backyard wedding in Malibu is one of the most wholesome things I’ve experienced- their […]
