This MET engagement session at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC was the epitome of a cozy, moody museum romance. If you are familiar with my work, or if you’ve browsed my blog page before, you might notice this is the second MET engagement session I’ve posted recently! As an NYC wedding photographer, it’s definitely one of the more popular engagement session locations for my couples. And for good reason!
The MET is the perfect mix of timelessness, elegance, stunning architecture, and unique backdrops. The museum’s big staircase alone is iconic, and really brings a cool, cinematic vibe to engagement or couples photos. What makes it even better is the variety this location has. From wide shots on the steps to intimate moments framed by its arches and artwork, every photo feels super unique and special. If you’re aiming for a vibe that’s both romantic and iconic, the MET is soooo good for capturing it all. This session was so much fun. I loved how these photos of Mina and Nick came out, and I hope you do too!
The surrounding area is just as beautiful, too! If you guys decide to venture out, Central Park is right there. So it’s perfect for couples looking for that bit of balance and variety. For more MET engagement session inspiration, check out Evelyn and Kevin’s engagement photos.
